Bruce MacKinnon: The Rape of Justice

by Charles S. Garabedian

AAAA Justice Raped

The foregoing political cartoon by Bruce MacKinnon is going viral on the Internet right now.  Note the Republican Party cuff-link symbols.  This cartoon was just published in the The Chronicle Herald newspaper in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Cartoons like this one are the main reason why two-bit dictators who are new to power go after artists and journalists first. This cartoon was drawn in response to last week’s emotion-charged Senate Judicial Committee hearings about confirming Brett Kavanaugh to sit on the U.S. Supreme Court.

This kind of powerful imagery, which quickly invades ever tiny nook and cranny in the United States and around the world, is the last thing the Republican Party needs right before one of the most important elections in American history. I am an Independent voter, and this image will be uppermost on my mind when I step into my voting booth on November 6, 2018, to vote against the Republican U.S. Congress and its evil leader President Donald Trump—and I hope it will be on your minds too.

Many on-line articles have embedded polls that ask readers to register their feelings (positive or negative) about this political cartoon. I do not have a poll app set up on this blog, but the comments are open.  What do you think about this cartoon?

One Response to Bruce MacKinnon: The Rape of Justice

  1. Ben Masters says:

That is precisely why I despise Washington now– these Republicans are doing to Democrats what they claim the Democrats are trying to do to them; there is no compromise, only us vs. them, and I’m sick of it!
