Jeffrey Toobin at CNN
President Donald J. Trump is predicting violence if he and the Republicans lose the U.S. House of Representatives or the U.S. Senate (or both) in the November 6, 2018, election. Others see it differently. You may read about it here:
I am a member of the “others,” and I hope you too will be smart enough to see what Trump is really saying and doing with this little charade. Jeffrey Toobin, the Chief Legal Analyst at CNN, nails Trump’s hide to the wall and speaks the truth in the safe-to-click video clip below:
Let’s be clear about a few things here—and clean up a few things:
(1) First of all, there is an occasional right wing nutjob rumor, which I am hearing more often, that says Jeffrey Toobin is obviously a black man because he looks a little bit like one, so what he says can be ignored because he is just sticking up for his n-word people. Has anyone ever noticed that people of Middle Eastern descent—like ancient Jesus—carry around a few genes for somewhat darker skin–like some Italians and Greeks. Jeffrey Toobin is not African-American—best I can tell from the on-line research I did. He is the son of a well-known (but deceased) Jewish local TV news producer in New York City and famous white network TV journalist Marlene Sanders, who was in her heyday just as famous as Walter Cronkite. Jeffrey Toobin is a white journalist who defends Americans of all colors—and tells it like it is to the best of his ability on CNN.
(2) Antifa is not an African-American organization. Antifa is a left wing radical organization dedicated to fighting back against highly militant right wing radical racism and bigotry. Most of the Antifa members I saw in Charlottesville had white skin peeking out of cracks between their items of clothing. However, this organization is no doubt comprised of a mix of people from many different racial and ethnic backgrounds.
The capacity for outright lies on the Trump side of the fence never ceases to amaze me. Just in case you were wondering, The Washington Post has been counting up all of the lies Trump has told the American people since his inauguration in January 2017. The grand total count of lies and misleading statements is now 4,229 (an average of 7.6 deceptions per day)—and still going up. Here is just one more famous one in case you might be interested:
You know what the Bible says about people like Trump. You have heard it here many times. One more time will not hurt:
You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44).
