The first quote is from famous Christian reconstructionist Gary North, who is also known by the nickname “Scary Gary” North. Scary Gary is the son-in-law of Rousas Rushdoony, the deceased founder of the Christian reconstructionism heresy that likes to masquerade as salt and light in this world. Here is his quote:
We must use the doctrine of religious liberty to gain independence for Christian schools until we train up a generation of people who know that there is no religious neutrality, no neutral law, no neutral education, and no neutral civil government. Then they will get busy in constructing a Bible-based social, political and religious order which finally denies the religious liberty of the enemies of God.
The second quote is from famous author Anne Rice, who is most known for writing popular novels about vampires. She wrote the series of romantic books known as the Vampire Chronicles. Here is her quote:
My faith in Christ is central to my life. My conversion from a pessimistic atheist lost in a world I didn’t understand, to an optimistic believer in a universe created and sustained by a loving God is crucial to me. But following Christ does not mean following His followers. Christ is infinitely more important than Christianity and always will be, no matter what Christianity is, has been, or might become.
Well, that about says it all. Which one will win? That is up to YOU. Quit being silent and speak up for the heart of Jesus. Hug someone today. Feed a hungry person or help a hurting person today—and show them that you really do love them—by actions rather than just words alone.
