More about Christian Nationalism and President Donald J. Trump

by Charles S. Oaxpatu

On August 8, 2017, I wrote a blog article to introduce you to a planned series of five articles by author Jack Jenkins on the very important and equally frightening subject of Christian nationalism and how it is linked to President Donald J. Trump. Modern Christian nationalism is the creation of assorted Christian fundamentalists, conservative evangelicals, and denizens of the Religious Right in the United States. Many Americans and many Christians are unaware of what Christian nationalism is and how it poses a grave threat to blood-won American freedoms—such as our freedom of religion. These basic freedoms were passed down to us from one generation to the next by our founding fathers such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison.

Jack Jenkins has now finished two more articles in his series of five on Christian nationalism. You may read all three articles in their original order of publication by clicking on the following three safe links:

Part I—Why Christian Nationalists Love Trump

Part II—Historians of Christian Nationalism Are Alarmed by Its Appearance in American Pulpits

Part III—How Trump’s Presidency Reveals the True Nature of Christian Nationalism
