For those of you who do not know, Paul Weyrich was pretty much the founder of the Religious Right—not Jerry Falwell and the Moral Majority. Abortion was not an issue in American Protestant churches until he and his cronies decided to raise it as a “Straw Man” trick to intentionally make Christian fundamentalists and conservative evangelicals incessantly angry so they would vote for Republicans for decades to come. The Southern Baptist Convention and W.A. Criswell himself had already signed off on abortion as being a positive thing supported by the church before Weyrich went to work with his deceptive plan and trickery. His whole purpose—whole purpose—was to make American Christianity subservient to the needs and wants of the Republican Party. I see evil in his face in this photograph. Do you?
Why does it not bother anyone in the Christian fundamentalist and conservative evangelical churches that Representative Paul Ryan, the new Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, is on public record as holding Russian atheist philosopher Ayn Rand as one of his greatest heroes? Ms. Rand was a despicable person whose philosophy and beliefs were contrary to the words and deeds of Jesus Christ in the Bible—and Ryan will most likely try to implement the elements of Ayn Rand philosophy in American government.
